Hot pepper nasal spray for headaches
Spraying an extract of hot peppers (capsaicin) into the nose is being promoted for the treatment of various types of headaches. This spray will definitely clear your sinuses, but as far as stopping headaches, the scientific evidence is lacking.
On the other hand, capsaicin cream has been studied in clinical trials for the treatment of joint pains of osteoarthritis and peripheral nerve pain with some positive results. However, even when applied to the skin, some people cannot tolerate the burning sensation it causes.
