Constipation and headaches
The international classification of headaches, which includes dozens of different headache types, does not include headaches caused by constipation.
However, constipation clearly can cause headaches and in some people it’s the only cause of headaches. This is not surprising because constipation can lead to absorption of toxic chemicals that should have been excreted back into the blood stream. Simple measures can help avoid constipation, including leaving enough time every morning, eating more fiber, drinking enough water, and regular exercise.
